Life beyond Formula 1 – Up-close and personal with Tonio Liuzzi
Force India driver Tonio Liuzzi was born in Italy but the driver now resides in Switzerland. An entertainer for the Formula 1 paddock since the last 6 years, Liuzzi is famous amongst F1 drivers for his colourful dress sense. His best performance was a 6th
place finish at the Chinese GP in 2007. Till date, the driver has won a total of 18 points in 57 races. But is this all to Tonio Liuzzi's life or is there more to it? Bettor.com takes a look at the other side of Tonio Liuzzi's life and his adventures off the
tracks.
Vitantonio Liuzzi hates F-ducts and suffers from amnesia every now and then. Liuzzi believes he is very quick and comes up with plans spontaneously so he has his options open and does not stick to just “Plan-A”. The Italian loves adrenaline sports besides
Formula 1 which includes motorcycling, bungee jumping and parachuting to name a few. Liuzzi is always excited to see his engineers and understands the upgrades on his car on a Thursday before the race weekend begins.

The 30-year-old believes that he has already met his dream date Nigel Mansell but he always wanted to meet Ayrton Senna. Unfortunately, that can never happen now. Tonio does not like romantic films as he is not into that kind of stuff but some movies do make
him cry. He could not remember the film that last made him cry though. Liuzzi claimed that he is not afraid of anything but he does not like snakes or any of those little crawling animals with many legs.

The Italian called Autosport a book and claims he likes reading it but is not into reading much. That explains why. Tonio likes staying at home and relax with his family and friends but hates over steer, the F-duct, Chinese food, wasabi and liars. Liuzzi stated
that he was quite wild when he was a 17-18 year old kid and dyed his hair from yellow to green to black. The whole colour palette allegedly.
Tonio liked Michael Jackson a lot and the first CD he bought was something by Michael Jackson. He has a tattoo on his left leg and has had piercings in the past on his eyebrows and his upper ear but they are gone now. He wanted to change his image after
he grew up so that is the reason why they had to go. Liuzzi’s teachers liked him a lot and thought he was a good boy but not the most talented one. The Italian always looked up to Nigel Mansell and Maradona when he was a kid and does not have any “guilty pleasures”
as he is a rigid person and the shopping days are over for now.

The 30-year-old loves to collect all sorts of sports and fashion caps for some reason and has a range of 150-200 caps with him. Vitantonio misses his family, friends and social life a lot when he is on the road. Tonio loves fashion and electronic gadgets so
he has a tendency of buying stuff that he does not need. He has had many bad buys and sometimes, he throws the things he buys right in the closet after having a short look at it at home. Liuzzi loves drinking latte macchiato and his ideal non-race Sunday is
sleeping until 10 or 11 am before doing some training and then taking a boat into the sea to relax.
The Italian was always passionate about cars from the time he started karting and bought a Mercedes SLK 200 from the initial money he made. That was a huge achievement for him at that time but unfortunately, he crashed the machine 6 months later. Tonio has
the ability to erase embarrassing memories immediately so he thinks he made quite a few.
The Force India driver loves cooking Japanese food while cooking meat on the teppanyaki grill is his favourite pass time. Tonio was furious after he had a problem on the car in Spa because he could not figure out what the problem was. He does not like it
when he cannot do anything to solve a problem.
