Hi right as far as i can see for the English pool life guarding course as far as the timed rescues go all you have to do is swim 20 metres to a conscious casualty then tow them back the 20 metres in under 65 seconds. Secondly swim 20 metres to an unconscious casualty turn them over and then tow them 10 metres in under 45 seconds is that right? thank- you x*x

  1. yes i am a trainer assessor who runs lifeguard courses and this is absolutely correct. If you need to know anything else check the www.lifesavers.org website and the assessment matrix in which you will be assessed on is there to help prepare you.

  2. Yep that sounds about right, i'm goin on a lifeguard course the end of this month, and i have been told about that, i'm not sure if it was 20 meters or 25 tho, but if ur a confident swimming and know the tows then ur'll b able 2 do them fine!!

    good luck with your course!!
