  1. um ok im not that smart but isnt there a WAR going on really close to aran and isnt there bad poverty there and besides canadas the best country EVER so um lets see i think id rather live in canada easy question

  2. would rather move to U.S.A.

Everyone wants U.S.A. and get rich.

  3. I think the best way to assess the quality of life is by refering to Human Development Index :

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cou...

According to United Nations Report  Iran is ranked 94 while Canada is number 4!

This means that the average Canadian is better off than average Iranian. In fact Canada is one of the best places in world to live in.

However this does not mean that any Iranian who moves to Cananda will necessarily have a better life. Or vice versa any Canadian who moves to Iran will not necessarily be worse off.

  4. Shiraz

  5. I have never been to Iran, but I do have persian friends who have shown me pictures of different regions. It looks quite beautiful.

However, with President Ahmadinejad making very provocative statements, and almost openly challenging the USA and other countries to a fight in the region, it is unlikely that I would be looking to live or work in that region at this time. Plus when you see what happened to photographer Zahra Kazemi just for taking pictures in Iran, it makes you wonder if the same could happen to you as a tourist.

I prefer to live in an area where the threat of war is less likely to break out, and even though we do have Canadians fighting in Afghanistan right now, an imminent bombing is not hovering over my head here in any Canadian city.

So although I would love to visit Iran and parts of the middle east at some point, I am concerned with my safety in the present atmosphere, and do not want to go to any place that is the focus of a conflict. I will wait to see if it ever settles down. In the meantime, I will spend my tourist dollars elsewhere.

  6. If I was a Muslim, I guess I would want to live in a country where Muslims are a majority.  But, since I'm not, I would rather stay here in Canada.

Edited:  Bob shark...haven't you heard?  To achieve the American dream you have to be a non-American living outside of USA.

  7. I live here and would not move to Iran or the USA.
