Life in st. paul/minneapolis, mn?

what is life like there? if you live there, how would you describe it? i might go to college there, so i am wondering. besides the busyness of it all, what else?

I don't live there, but Minnesota is one of my favorite places to visit!  I used to work there during the summer, and I have a number of friends who live in Minneapolis/St. Paul that I've gone to visit.  

My understanding is that it's a great place to be.  Yes, it's chilly in the winter, but bundle up and you'll be alright.  There are plenty of fun things to do, public transportation is easy to navigate (buses and the Light Rail make getting around simple), and it's one of the more desirable cities for young professionals, among Boston and Seattle.  It's affordable, fun, and opportunities to develop your professional life abound.  

I'd love to move there.  I've traveled all throughout Minnesota and love its natural beauty and the energy of the Twin Cities.  If you haven't been to visit, definitely go!  I think you'd really like it and it would help you decide if you want to go to college there or not.
