Hi guys,

I am a 26 year old single male, non-smoker but has serious asthma (stage 5) and a few supplementary minor ailments (osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes). I want to get life insurance for myself for up to 25 years to the value of £50,000 upon my death and for it to cover my asthma condition.

Could anyone recommend a good insurer for me please...I am based in the UK

  1. Call a local independent agent in your area, there are policies that will cover you with conditions. You may have to get a modified life policy that will have a 2-3 year waiting period, except for accidental death and it will be a little more expensive but you can get coverage. Just go see an agent who deals with lots of carriers, he/she can shop for the best plan for you. Good luck.

  2. i dont think that insurers will actually EVER take on a preexisting condition, EVER.

WAIT A SECOND, WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? You want MEDICAL INSURANCE (will not cover pre-existing conditions) or LIFE INSURANCE (should cover pre-existing conditions because they do not have to pay out on treatment of these conditons), you die, thats it...

im confused, interesting question, i have only ever heard of life insurers not paying on life insurance if you kill yourself (not sure its true) NOT hold out on any medical conditions that you may have that may kill you..  anyhoo, everyone sells life insurance these days, try Tesco.
