If an American citizen with life insurance dies outside of the USA, can the beneficiary still claim the life insurance?

  1. They sure can try!   If the policy is contestable, and the activities outside the US weren't disclosed, the claim could be denied.  And there might be an exclusion anyway, depending on the circumstances of the death.

    Short answer, no one HERE knows if the claim will be honored or not, there are too many details you left out.

  3. yes, as long as they have a death certificate.  i would read the policy carefully though, to see if there are any exclusions
