Life is a beach...?

...if you're a whale...

I was trying to walk off a New Years eve hangover out at the Saleens (Tramore) some years ago and, much to my surprise, encoutered a 60ft+ whale ( it was very definitely a male of the species) washed up on the beach.

What year was it?

What species was it?

What did they do with it? I heard it was buried on the beach.

Or was I still drunk and imagined the whole thing?

Thinking about it, it could have been a Christmas eve hangover...

It was a humped back whale calf. I don't know what year it was.
