Well, the scientists of the world sure agree! Looking at the smallest measurable piece of matter, which they do at sub-atomic level, the only thing they can prove is that there is a "force field", someplace, sometime, somewhere.

Up to this day, they cannot prove that matter exists! Maybe this explains why so many scientific geniusses left the field of research to become...priests!

And buddhists have been saying that life is an illusion for the last three thousand years.

So, based on a scientific point of view and a spiritual point of view, both which I consider trustworthy, I would be inclined to agree with this idea.

Naturally, the applying of it is a source of considerable challenge, as life itself has its demands.

Yes, no, maybe.  Between illusion and reality is a massive QUANTUM hole.  Which you may fill with everything under the sun.  All answers will be right and all will be wrong.  And some might be very truthful.  Who knows??

Yes is illusion but no false.  Misconceiving one thing for another thing is called illusion. For example, accepting a rope as a snake is illusion, but the rope is not false is real. The rope, as it exists in the front of the illusioned person, is not at all false, but the acceptance is illusory . Therefore the wrong conception of accepting this material manifestation, and this life, as being divorced from the energy of the Lord, is illusion. And this illusory conception is called the reflection of the reality in the darkness of ignorance. Anything that appears as apparently not being "produced out of My energy" is called mäyä(illusion).
