  1. lots of exersise and they probably have jobs

  2. Well in between getting smashed, failing drug tests, Drink driving, crashing cars & evading police, spousal/partner assault, urinating in public, court appearances, dresses & s*x toys on Mad Monday, I'm not sure the average A.F.L. player has time for a "typical day" ;)

  3. Get drunk and crash your car and try and cover it up, whilst infuriating the President who has to front the media he used to control

  4. Well, I know that on match day, if they are playing a night game, they usually go for a walk, or just relax, and carbo-load for energy.

During the week players have proper training sessions twice a week, and are down at their club maintaining their fitness most days. Apart from that, they may have media commitments, or they just live normal lives!

  5. I go to swim at Windy Hill where the Bombers train.

They keep the same sort of work hours and patterns during the week as office workers do. They turn up around 8.30 for gym or swim training, practise footy skills on the oval, break for coffee or tea at various cafes down the road, have meetings with team mates and their medical and lifestyle advisors, take a couple of hours off for a university lecture, go home for evening meal which they quite often cook themselves. Some of the young lads live together in team houses, but most of the team have a partner and some have kids and pets, so family or share-house life comes into it too - including taking out the garbage and paying the gas bill.

Make yourself a schedule based on the above and you have a fair idea of a typical day for an AFL footballer.

  6. They have training sessions about twice a week and do intense weights and running sessions. I read a thing that brent staker (wce player) wrote in 'eagle eye' magazine about a week in his life and he wrote alot about their body building and normal traning sessions.

Typical afl players travel around alot - they may have to travel interstate about 11 times a year to play non home games, so their life is hectic with travel & often players get homesick because they are playing for a team that is situated far from their home where their family and friends are - resorting in players getting switched from team to team.

They also get alot of media attention and speak alot for the media, which influences the way that people react to certain players.

: ) hope this helps and good luck on your asiment thing
