Though no one can predict the future, these things have already been decided.  Think of the entire universe as one enormous mathematical equation.  All of the atomic forces in the universe fall and play out in a predictable way and they control the thoughts and actions of every entity in the universe as well as the forces of all matter on the macro level.  They will only play out one way.  In other words, if you were watching our universe from outside, no matter how many times you "rewound" time, it would play out exactly the same way.
