there are three things about plasmodiu that i need answered

1. plant-like animal-like or fungus-like

2. how do they move

3. where do they live

  1. I assume you are referring to the plasmodium (source 1).

    1. Plant-like, animal-like or fungus-like?

    All three in fact:

    - It is classified as a protozoa, due to its motile nature (animal-like)

    - It evolved from dinoflagellates (source 3) which can photosynthesize (plant-like)

    - It is in the plasmodiidae family (source 4) which means it reproduces using spores (fungus-like).

    Generally however, as a protozoa it is more animal in behavior like than anything else.

    2. The plasmodium is a type of apicomplexan parasite (source 5) which means it does not move except in gamete stages. At that stage it moves using flagella. (source 6)

    3. They live in the mosquito's midgut before being transmitted  to a host where they invade and relocate to the liver of the host (source 1).
