Life-size paper boat?

How can I make a life size paper boat? it must withstand the influence of water and other factors. what kind of paper should i use. (the boat must be loadable)

There's a contest in one town to build a boat out of milk cartons. The cartons are filled with air and sealed shut, then glued together into a hull. I think that would count as a life sized paper boat.

Use newspaper and roll it into logs.  The tie or glue the logs into a boat shape and, once that is done... then coat the whole thing with tar, as that will waterproof it.
