Life without an air condtioner?

Question

How would you feel without an air conditioner? That's how most of the people in my area (Pacific Northwest) are living. Right now, it's hotter indoors than it is, outdoors.

I do not have air conditioning. I purposely did not get it when I had my new house built. I don't like it and won't use it so, why have it? When it gets really hot I turn on a fan.

I did that when i loved in Boston. About 3 days of summer were so hot it was horrible at night. One word: fan!

Now I live in fl., and cannot imagine what is was like here in the summer before a/c.

I live in california and we recently had air condition installed in our house, thank goodness! Before the long hot summer were a nightmare. Having to take constant showers in order to stay fresh. Sleeping with sheets was impossible let alone use blankets. Just imagen having it be 100 outside and 105 in your house, then trying to sleep there! For your fellow citzens i hope they get air condition or some form of installment that cools the house, because without it h**l

I think I would be fine without it.. I do like using fans though like when i'm in bed or cleaning..

right now there's about 2 million peopel on this island. if there was no AC, there would probably only be 100k on this island. it's way too humid here to not have it

I can't imagine.

The days might not be so bad...I can handle the heat when I'm awake.  But...I can't sleep in a hot room.  I would go crazy!

I only probably need it in the Daytime here in Denver. Temps go as high as the 100s.

In the night, it's fairly cool. Around 55 F.
