Lifeguard certification in WA?

Where can I find more information about lifeguard certification? I would like to be certified for a summer job but the red cross site doesnt seem to give much info, can anyone help?

Call your local Red Cross chapter, they can give you some class dates.

Call city recreation departments, sometimes they run classes.

Call YMCAs, but make sure you ask what certification they offer. Some only do YMCA Lifeguard, which is basically only accepted by YMCAs.

Ask any lifeguards you know where they took the class
