  1. I've just started at my local leisure centre but i know the answer :)

In my first 3 days i have life guarded, put out a bouncy castle, sat in the staff room talking, put out gymnastic equipment, put out childrens play area equipment, done a pool test (the water temp. PH ect. you'll get tought it by another life guard) erm put out tables for a kids party wash glasses at the bar, and i haven't cleaned yet but yah thats something too :)

I don't know about jewellery, if they're tight then you won't be alloud so i would say no but you probably might be able to get away with it, naughty naughty!

    Hope this helps :) x

  2. lots of cleaning, shower rooms lockers etc

at a pool you may have other duties such as admission office

    no jewellery would seem sensible

  3. Pool lifeguards? Generally do school children swimming lessons too - often run classes for adults - pool maintenance - and yes, I wear my wedding and engagement ring, but no more.

  4. I'm a lifeguard...

I work at a private club, so I am just in charge of poolside and it's hygeine, first aid and keeping my area tidy. I am told that if you work in a council establishment or a public pool you hve to clean changing rooms and toilets.

I'm not allowed to wear jewellery for health and safety - apart from one small pair of studs.
