  1. Use the power saving light more than the yellow bulbs. Also the monitor of your pc consumes a lot of energy, so switch it off when you have to leave your computer on but have to leave the desk for a while.

Besides what electric equipments do you use? Try to minimize the length of its use.

Like don't keep the iron on when you have to answer a phone call.

  2. I dunno how high ur light bill is as i don't pay it lol. But may i suggest that you turn your lights off when you leave a room. This will save you loads.

    Thanks

  3. Edwin, where do you live?  I live in Indiana, and we have some of the lowest electric bills in the US.  My bill runs about $125.00 - $175.00/ per month, and I have a "total electric home."  (Electric heat, stove, and dryer, etc.  Natural gas is not available in my area, which is okay, as it is more expensive.)

We still have coal-fired plants in Indiana, but many are being converted to natural gas-fired plants -- which will cost us LOTS more on our electric bills.

  4. You may wish to explore "reflective tubular lighting" as a light source.it really does work during the day.

    My Best

  5. I live outside of Nashville and ours is 100 to 150 a month.  We keep our summer temp at 77 and winter at 67.  We try not to use lights if we don't have to, and keep fans on at all times.  We also well insulated our house.
