Question:

Light Green or Teal?? Help

What color should I paint the walls if the flooring has light tiles and the furniture is white oak?? I am divided between light green and teal, and my bed comforter is a turquoise blue in a shiny material...

Also, since I have white oak furniture, should I still go with light tiles?? The floor needs to be tiled because of the basement humidity, I'm just not sure what color and it will also depend on the color of the wall. The only definite thing is the furniture color - White Oak.

  1. Teal, light green will be too cold with white furniture and if you are getting light tiles teal will soften the whole room.

  2. You didn''t know it but my favourite colour is teal! I wish my bedroom was in teal (it is white,,ugh)

  3. Light green.

  4. light green

  5. Teal would look very beautiful.

  6. I'd go with the Light Green. Darker colors often give the feeling of a smaller space and intensity. Contrary, the lighter colors are usually warmer and more welcoming/calming.

As for the tiles, I think light tiles are perfect. If you'd think of them as boring, I'd get light tiles with a decoration in the middle or around the edges of each tile. Good luck!

  7. deffo light green!

and yes go with light tiles

  8. It all depends on what feeling you want to give off with your house.

If you want it to be bold with personality, try teal (a darker teal would look ever better)

But... if you don't want a bold house, you could always go with light green. It'll make your house look/feel soft and calm.

(this yellow-green colour on the chart):

I personally LOVE the dark teal.

Oh, and if you decide to paint your walls that yellow-green color, you could keep your light tiles, but a dark/reddish wood would also work as well. You could even try a creme coloured carpet.

  9. I painted my room teal... I thought I would love it but I don't like it at all. I'd go for light green.

  10. light green would go GREAT with your floors and white oak furniture do what ever one you want though

  11. i would keep it light, makes the room look bigger.
