Light Heavyweight Division?

Question

It is no secret that the LHW Division is most popular and talented division in the UFC. But Dana White is going to be in a tough place when picking the next #1 contender.

- Lyoto Machida and Thiago Alves are the two most deserving in the division but neither are that popular or really well known.

- Rashad Evans is undefeated but he hasn't beaten anyone credible and is not considered a top LHW by many.

- Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva are very popular and many want to see both of them fight Rampage Jackson again. But they both are 1 and 2 in their last 3 fights. Even each of them wins their next fight, they will still be a fight away from deserving a title shot.

- Shogun Rua is the last person to defeat Rampage but he is yet to win in the UFC.

- James Irvin could get the nod if he beats Anderson Silva, but again he is not that popular.

So who deserves the next title shot?

Indeed the best division and that's not because my favorite fighter is in it. (Rampage)

Lyoto: With the names he has beat, he does deserve it. He's just not an interesting fighter. He's getting more known as the guy who beat Tito now or more of "that ELUSIVE (boring) guy." I think the UFC wants him to beat more people decisively. I don't think that Machida can handle an aggressive fighter. Don't tell me Tito was aggressive either. Tito was punking out.

Thiago: Huge fan of him, former Chute Boxe attendee. It just doesn't help that his biggest fight is against Houston Alexander. I've heard rumors of either him vs. Wand or him vs. Machida. Who knows, it'll be an interesting few fights for Thiago.

Rashad: Chuck is going to expose Rashad and he'll mark up his first loss.

Chuck: I don't think Chuck will get another title shot. Because if (more like when) he beats Rashad, they will blow up Wand vs. Chuck II.

Wand: Second favorite fighter. Wand took it back to the day with his dismantling of Jardine. I think his next fight should be like Thiago's situation. Thiago vs. Wand or against Machida. I would love to see Wand vs. the new Rampage.

Shogun: Shogun was not even the same fighter against Forrest. I don't want to talk about it further than that.

Irvin: Just cause he beats Anderson, doesn't mean squat. Honestly.

I hate to say it, mostly because i hate this fighter, but Lyoto Machida deserves it after beating Tito Ortiz. I hate the guy, i hate his style, and im pissed that he beat Ortiz by hitting him than running away but the man has gone undefeated and has wins over Ortiz and Sokouju. he also has a win over BJ, but BJ fights at 155 so its not really a surprise that he wud lose at 205.

**** Rashad Evans, he's gonna get KOed by Liddell anyways so im not gonna mention him other than this.

If by some miracle, Thiago SILVA (not Alves) beats Wandy in a dominant fight, than give him another top LHW 2 decide if he truelly can bang with the big boys. On the other hand, if Wandy wins in another dominant way, than make him face off with either Irvin if he beats Anderson Silva, or SHogun Rua (if of course they're down with fighting each other now that they aren't in the same camp).

I love Liddell, but i really don't wanna see a Chuck vs. Rampage 3...
