Light & Normal length period?

I started spotting Brown off and on, sometimes pink, Once it was a little red, but it was like that for a week. It started 5 days before my period was due. Was it most lightly my period? Should i test?

If I were you I'd take a test =)  Implantation bleeding could be the cause...good luck!!!!
