In a vacuum environment what do we know of that is as fast or closest to the speed of light?

The whole electromagnetic spectrum travels at the velocity.  Light is just the portion of it that our eyes respond to.  Theoretical particles travel kind of fast.  The neutrino is nearly as fast and the tachyon is faster then light.

Electrons can move at up to 1/20 the speed of light depending on the medium in which they are traveling. Neutrinos actually move faster in a vacuum than light.  Particle accelerators move many particles to near the speed of light...but that is artificially. Space is also expanding at greater than the speed of light.

the question specifies a "knowing" and i am only guessing. And as well perhaps the "in a vaccuum" parameter doesnt apply either, but one might consider thought or thinking to be as fast as or close to the speed of light. Maybe???

but seriously, electrons come close. I am not sure of the exact speed, but this fact is important in designing computer processors.
