Gene Tunney vs Bob Fitzsimmons

Ezzard Charles vs John Henry Lewis

Archie Moore vs Billy Conn

Bob Foster vs Michael Spinks

Several of these fighters are more well known as heavyweights of course but all also fought as light heavys for some time. Thanks for the participation.

  1. Tunney(points win)Charles(ko)Moore(points)Foster(ko)

  2. Tunney outboxes Fitzsimmons

Charles win by close decision over Lewis

    Moore outboxes Conn

    Spinks win by decision

  3. tunney charles conn foster

  4. genne tunney vs bob fitzsimmons: tough fight, this would be a gift to boxing afecionadoes, tunney would display his best attributes in this fight (counter punching and mobilty) and would earn a decision (probably split) after a good fight.

ezzard charles vs johnherny lewis: charles would win this fight. At light heavy charles was a beast, extremely hard hitting and able to absorb a lot more punishement he would defeat john herny lewis after an interesting fight possibly by knock out.

archie moore vs billy conn: billy conn was a great boxer but he would not have been able to withstand moore's power and strenght at light heavy weight. Moore by UD or TKO.

bob foster vs michael spinks: tough fight, spinks was a tough opponent at light heavyweight, he had power and speed and was quite crafty, foster is considered to be one of the greatest if not the greatest light heavy of all time and he had all the tools needed to earn a strong decision against spinks.

  5. Bob Fitzimmons rallies from behind to catch Gene Tunney with a wicked HEART PUNCH! " Or Solar Plexis Shot" if the children ask!

Ezzard Charles marginally outboxes John Henry Lewis in a very HARD FOUGHT majority decision!

In the day's BIG UPSET Billy Conn's speed and dexterity earns him a disputed 15 round split decision over the "Old Mongoose" Archie Moore!

Moore cleverly lays a trap for Conn to try to lure him inside in the championship rounds of a VERY CLOSE battle!

But because this is not for the title Billy's EGO DOES NOT get in the way. Conn does not take the bait. Billy instead closes out the last 2 rounds with lateral footwork and outside boxing to close the show and move on with the tournament. DESPITE A SMATTERING OF BOOS!

Bob Foster suprises some observers with a much easier than expected 7th round ko of Michael Spinks!

    ON WITH THE TOURNAMENT TOUGHGUY!!!

  6. But like most ive NEVER seen them just like you guys.  spinks ive seen so its got to be him he is good all rounder so its him but not as good as jones!..  I no he  not in it the question .   but jr jones walks all over them all

but at lest iv seen him with my own eyes . thats not the same as a book or a video. ive not done who beats who like the question said . spinks beats them all he lost one fight to tyson and if you had any fighter in the past or today when he got beat  by tyson at that time not one fighter would not beat tyson. yes michael was past it And at his best he`ll stll get beat.   you can only answer what you have seen so how can you say charles beats   J  H   lewis?  plus some say by a round? how do you khow that?? if you do khow tell me one thing ive always wanted to khow......

who would win  BATMAN OR SUPERMAN

  7. Tunney vs. Fitz - Someone with Fitz's freakish power you can never count out. However I think of the Fitzsimmons, Corbett bout. Corbett danced circles all around Fitz. Corbett could dance circles around most everyone then, and it was all Bob could do to just try and stay in. Until Jim bottomed out. I see Tunney doing the same to Bob that Corbett did, yet Tunney's stamina is beyond great. (Desc. Tunney.)

Ezzard Charles Vs John Henry Lewis - John was a very good fighter But everything John had, Charles had more of ( Charles- Desc. or possible ko.)

Moore vs. Conn - Moore was a great and crafty.Yet people tend to forget Conn was also great and underated today. I cant see Moore out-boxing or out-slicking Conn. This is a hard one to call. As Moore was a ko artist, yet Conn was extremely fast and fleet of foot, and being VERY technically sound. In a bout with A. Moore vs Joe Louis, I pick Louis. Then I think of Conn's great boxing display with Louis. I hesitantly go with Conn. (Conn - Very narrow desc.)

Foster vs. Spinks - Bob had that KO left hook and a very good right to go with it. But Spinks had KO power with both hands  with more shots. Bob was a bit more one- dimensional (Foward) and relied more on his strength to overcome. Whereas Spinks could punch AND box and could do it equally well coming in and/or out. Bob perfered the outside. Spinks could do it outside or inside. I think Spinks could match and better Bob's power, and was more versatile and better as a boxer. (Spinks TKO-9)

  9. tunney over ruby robert -- points
