Light problem on boat trailer?

I just rewired and put new lights on my boat trailer. It is grounded and yellow & green to tail and brown to stop & turn, the left side is completly working, but the on the right side, only the running light is working the turn and brake doesnt work. what could be wrong

  1. possibly reversed polarity or bulb not in properly...you can buy a test light for 2 bucks to test your connection...or try hooking it up to another vehicle, if the same problem occurs, I'd check the wiring... If not then you know it's in your vehicles wiring.


  2. my utility trailer done the exact same thing the other day ,and i had to use the white wire and ground it to the trailer frame,it done exactly the same thing yours is doing,i thought the tongue would ground it but i guess it wasn't doing that good of a job,now the all work right ,try rechecking the ground wire,i drilled a hole and mounted my trailer wiring ground to the trailer now mine are brighter also,be sure and check the socket and the bulb real good sometime these will get a little corroded and cause that also,good luck with it.
