i am looking at the k-factorzero. its light, but have power to it. i wondered if u guys can look at it if lighter+control= power. meaning that you can generate your own power from the lighter racquets. are lighter ones used commonly? whats the defect from generating your own power?

  1. I personally do not think serious beginners should be using light racquets.  There are two types of beginners - serious ones that want to learn proper tennis strokes, and beginners that will only play twice a year when the weather is nice.  A good racquet forces you to swing properly.  Generating your own power is a good thing.  Also, a heavier racquet absorbs impact and can handle mishits better.  I started with a heavy stick 3 years ago and feel like it has helped me a lot more than a "beginner's racquet" would have.  Good luck.
