Is the lightening outside your house PURPLE?

Sometimes. Purplish I think. Not like an all purple light, but it can have some parts blue or purpleish.

It can be. Maybe not purple, but it can be white, yellow, red, or blue, depending on how far away it is, and what is in the atmosphere, between you, and the lightning. Water molecules in the sky, can make the lightning look blue, if it's far off. The water in the air, bends (refracts) the light, like a rainbow.
