Lighter fuse keeps blowing

I've got a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. The lighter fuse was blown, replaced it last night and it's blown again. I had an electric air freshener plugged into it. Could that be the culprit?

  1. Most likly you have a short in the wiring. Does it only blow with the air freshener. If so there a short in the air freshener.  


  2. put in a new lighter.

  3. Yes, especially if the regular lighter element doesn't blow the fuse.
