  1. I don't really know and don't really care. There are more important things to consider than weight for a road bike... or any bike for that matter.

My guess- if I had to make one- is probably a Paketa with magnesium frame... somewhere in the 13-14 pound range with SRAM Red components.

  2. Honda's recently introduced VT250 Spada lightweight motorcycle features a diecast aluminum box-section frame, which the manufacturer claims to be the world's first application of such design and construction. The company's own Italian subsidiary has been producing a smaller model, the NSR125, which also has a cast aluminum frame, however, it has open-sectioned members.

  3. I've seen some crazy 12-13 pounders out there, however, I think there is some racing regulations that prevent people from using sub-15 pound bikes due to an unfair advantage against people without massive stockpiles of cash.

  4. It doesn't really matter because the UCI wont let you compete with it anyway...

  5. By bike I assume you mean bicycle? If so, Ghisallo is definitely the way to go.

Granted, they aren't cheap but it will be a long time before anyone designs a frame better than this - 1.99 lbs!!!
