Lighting question?

Just tried to replace a light fitting with a new B&Q spotlight. There are 4 cables coming down. The last light I did only had 3 in the rose! What do I do? Please give any ideas Thank You

It sounds like you have a loop in system, so you probably have two live cable,(one a feed in the other a feed down to the switch) a neutral and a switch-line back up from the switch.If in doubt call an electrician-as he will probably charge less to do it than he would if he has to put right anything you do wrong.Bye the way I think it is now statutory to have all alterations carried out by suitably qualified person and the should be a fair number of those looking for work due to the building slump.
