Lightning in mauritius?????

does anyone what is happening right now in mauritius???

there is lightnings in the cloud and no thunder and the weather is completely fine.....

Just Googe "Mauritius weather".

All I got on Yahoo weather was it's partly cloudy at all weather stations, with the atmospheric pressure falling in a couple of locations. This portends a rainstorm.

Michel has a good definition of lightning etc, but it is difficult to explain why we've seen this now and never before in mu, but if u watch the news bulletin of 14/05/08  on www.mbcradio.tv, u can understand better maybe. strange phenomenon, i would say it's obviously a result of the blooming global warming.

Lightnings happen when there is a great difference of static electricity between the clouds and the ground or ... between some clouds and others. It is nothing unusual.

It is also normal that you don't hear the thunder if it is quite far away from you. It doesn't have to rain either. At night you can see lightnings miles away.
