Lights under the microwave won't turn off

Question

One of the bulbs under the microwave burnt out (actually blew off the base). We unplugged, and managed to remove the bulb socket. we replaced the bulbs, and plugged back in, but the lights will not turn off. Even though the display cycles through all the settings, the bulbs remain on.any thoughts?
