  1. You can use the CDs for standard recording, but you will not be able to flip it over and write the label with the laser of the LightScribe writer.  For that you will need to buy LightScribe compatible CDs.  Use up these CDs and buy a few LS's for when you want to try-out the new feature of your computer.  Good luck.

  2. You would need actual lightscribe cd's for the lightscribe feature of your dvd burner to work.

  3. You can't use the normal CD's to be printed like a lightscribe CD on the back.LightScribe burner also needs a lightscribe CD. Buy a lightscribe CD instead if you want to.

    good luck!
