  1. duran ko 12 arguello

armstrong w15 pryor (close unanimous decision).

  2. Duran wins by dec. over Arguello

Armstrong win by split dec. over Pryor

  3. Some how I missed Round 1 but Round 2 is interesting.  I have always felt Duran would flatten Arguello at 135.  Alexis is one of the hardest punchers ever at 135.  However, Duran is tough enough to survive Arguello's bombs.

Duran would also slip a LOT of Arguello's punches as Alexis was no speed demon.  He had a lot of trouble with movers but he would also have his hands full against a fighter who DOES NOT run but, yet, it not so easy to hit.    See how many times Duran made Leonard miss?    Just imagine how often Arguello would miss.

If Duran is in shape he is just too much for Arguello.  Duran has proven to be a debilitating body puncher.  Arguello, on the other hand, would experience something very new.  NO one has gone to his body as Duran would.  Duran would survive many of Arguello's bombs.

As great as he was, Arguello showed, in the second Pryor fight, that he wilts, both physically and mentally when the pressure is too great.

    Duran by KO in 11

Pryor vs Armstrong is WW 3 AND 4.  Of all fights between Like Styles, I JUST CANT IMAGINE the magnitude of this fight.  It would OUTSHINE ALL the classic fights.    With due respect,   Gatti-Ward would look like Hop Scotch next to Armstrong-Pryor.

This is a tough call but I have to go with Armstrong.   Hammerin hank has proven himself against welterweights and middleweights.  That is, perhaps, the ONLY clear advantage he has over Pryor.

Pryor doesn't bob-n-weave the way Armstrong does.  He swarms all over his opponent.  The difference is that Most of his opponents were taller than Arron.  He worked best against taller opponests because he would just RUN ALL OVER THEM with NO FEAR of retaliation.

In Armstrong, Pryor would finally meet the one fighter who can "Swarm" as RELENTLESSLY  has he could.  My God, I can just SEE this one.  Armstrong put MORE pressure on you than Frazier, the ultimate Pressure Heavyweight.  Rocky and Dempsey were pressure Hvts. too but neither "LEANED" into you as did Frazier.  Both hit harder though.

Armstrong would back you into a corner and just PRESSURE you until you BROKE.  Pryor would Overwelm you until you just gave in.  You Just CAN NOT see ALL the directions those punches are coming from.

FORGET that bottle theory.  Pryor had it ALL OVER Arguello going in.  People thought I was crazy for saying it but It's true.  That's just the one style Arguello Just doesn't have an answer for.

Pryor would actually attempt to box in the middle rounds and even have marginal success.  However, Armstrong would learn that he could actually lose the fight if he allows Pryor to have his way, even for a short time.   Hammerin Hank has the ability to turn any fight into a brawl if it works best for him.  HE JUST DIDN'T TIRE.

Pryor had endless energy too.  However, he would not adjust to someone who can match him in strength and power as well as Sheer Volumn of punches.  Pryor is a little more straight up than Armstrong was.  He would score A LOT of points against Armstrong.

Pryor would be ahead after 10 rounds because he would learn he can't fight chest-to-chest against Armstrong.  He's fast and strong enough to turn it into a boxing match in spurts.  This puts him ahead.  However, Armstrong also learns a few things.    He MUST close the gap between himself and Pryor or he loses the fight.

Armstrong pushes forward and takes the last few rounds.  Two judges have "Hank" ahead by 1 and 2 points respectively.  The third has it even as the "Hawk" comes up short.

    Armstrong by split decision.

  4. at lightweightweight duran always Im surprised that you even asked..pryor v armstrong now that is an awesome mix up boils down to how much could armstrong take....relentless attack on both sides pryor possibly had too much reportior and would land more telling punch's but armstrong was a warrior and may be too much in pryors face could fight 10 times and who could predict?,,a one off well I still dont know but I guess armstrong on a narrow points decision.one of the all time reat fights
