Ligue 1 Winter transfer window: Ligue 1 transfers that could materialise this winter
With just two weeks left till the opening of the winter transfer window, a lot of activity can be expected in the French Ligue 1 clubs. The likes of Bordeaux, Paris Saint-Germain and other clubs are already shortening the list of players who they want to
sign in January.
Bettor.com takes a look at some of the players who could be on the move this winter.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Ciani (FC Girondins de Bordeaux)
The 27-year-old Frenchman perfectly symbolises Bordeaux’s fall from grace from 2009 Ligue 1 champions to relegation candidates. Brought from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Senegal-c3001
international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127. However, the Frenchman has failed to live upto the expectations and after a promising start to the current campaign, has become a weak-link in the Bordeaux side.
The 27-year-old may well be looking for a new club as soon as the transfer window opens in order to gain regular starting opportunities which he can never be guaranteed at the Aquitaine club especially this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yannis-Tafer-c37219 (Olympique Lyonnais)

The 20-year-old Frenchman of Algerian descent has been heralded as the future of Olympique Lyonnais and French football in general (if he chooses to play for France at senior level). However, injury worries have certainly hindered his progress. The youngster
spent the 2010/2011 season on loan at Toulouse and managed 16 Ligue 1 appearances.
However, the youngster is finding it hard to launch his pro career. Shone for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 in the UEFA European Under-19 tournament, Tafer relapsed in October and could well be sent out on loan or sold in the winter transfer window.
The youngster has been touted as the ‘new Karim Benzema’ but his injury record at such a tender age could dampen all this.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sylvain-Monsoreau-c34433 (AS Saint-Etienne)
The 30-year-old left-back is currently experiencing the darkest phase of his pro career at AS Saint-Etienne. After playing for the likes of Sochaux, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 and AS Monaco, he signed for AS Saint-Etienne in 2008. Inconsistent performances this
season have consigned him to a peripheral role at the club and the Frenchman would certainly be one of the first players to leave French Ligue 1 this winter with Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb seemingly leading the race to sign the left-back.
Christophe Galtier, coach of Les Verts is also keen on offloading the troubled player so a move to a different league can certainly not be ruled out.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ludovic-Obraniak-c22623 (LOSC Lille)
The 27-year-old Pole can never be considered as a flop for reigning Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille. The midfielder is unlucky in a way that he has to compete with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitri-Payet-c11276 for a place in the starting XI. Sick of
being the eternal substitute, the Franco-Pole is keen on moving away from the club.
Reports suggest that clubs from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032
and his country, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983.
