Now, Joey Barton has been asked by the QPR management to find a new club. This was also confirmed by the club’s manager, Mark Hughes. While talking to media, the Welshman revealed that he does not intend to name Barton in his 25-man squad for the first half of the campaign so the player should explore all options available to him.

“I do not intend to name Joey to my 25-man squad, he must begin to explore the options available to him. The Marseille option makes sense for him and for us, but we are still at the stage of interest and discussion, there was no offer, either for transfer or an exchange.”

Things have certainly not gone well at all for Joey Barton whose temper and mood swings have been the main reason why his career has never really taken off the way it should have. Perhaps, a move to Marseille can change all that.
