Ligue 1 news round up
Paris Saint Germain interested in Ivan Ramis
French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain is reportedly interested in signing defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-c17215 Ramis from Spanish side Real Mallorca, when the January transfer window re-opens. The Spaniard has attracted a lot of attention from many European clubs, and it was
believed that Scottish giants Celtic were in process of signing him during the summer, but the 26-year old defender chose to remain with Mallorca.
Mallorca coach Michael Laudrup seems to be very reluctant to let go of the Spaniard, as the centre-back was one of the stars of the team that finished fifth in La Liga last season. Ramis has carried on from where he left off last year, and become an integral
part of the Mallorca squad. The Balearic islands club is currently facing a lot of financial problems, and this might be the only reason that will force the club to sell the defender if a good price is given. Due to financial problems Mallorca was not allowed
to take part in the UEFA Europa League this season, and Villareal replaced them as Spain's representatives in the prestigious tournament.
Paris Saint Germain are currently in second place in Ligue 1 with 31 points from 19 games, just one point behind league leaders Lille. They have won eight games, drawn seven and lost four. The French Ligue 1 has already become a wide open contest, as only
five points separate the top 10 clubs. Lille are closely followed by Paris Saint Germain, Rennes and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130, who all have 31 points from 19 games.
Ayew says Marseille need to be more competitive after winter break

also wants them to improve in their performance in the Champions League.
The 21-year old has been an important part of the Marseille side that is currently fifth in the league, just three points behind Lille, who are leading the Ligue 1 standings.
Ayew told reporters, “Now we are going to rest and come back with a lot of desire to really kick start our championship campaign. We have qualified for the knock out phase of the Champions League and are fifth in the Ligue1, we can focus on the points to
