Paris Saint-Germain spent lavishly on new recruits this summer but there are other club’s whose new acquisitions have all the talent in the world to lit alight the Championnat this season
The new Ligue 1 campaign kicked off last Friday with Montpellier and Toulouse fighting for a 1-1 draw. For AS Saint-Etienne, new signing, Romain Hamouma scored a goal on his debut while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 also scored a brace in his Ligue 1 debut.
With so many ‘freshies’ making a good start with their new clubs in the very first week of the Championnat, it can be hoped that the new signings would do a great http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 for their new clubs this term.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marvin-Martin-c24496
Club: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lille-OSC-c39800
Nationality: French
The France international was snapped up by the 2011 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 from FC Sochaux Montbéliard for a club record fee of 12 million euros. In the 2010/2011 campaign, Martin topped the assist charts in Ligue 1 and although his form dipped last season,
the midfielder is expected to play a big role for Rudi Garcia’s side in the Championnat and in the Champions League.
With Nolan Roux arriving at the club from Stade Brestois earlier this year, Marvin Martin’s arrival means that Les Dogues will have a player who can pair up well with the French striker who is yet to find the Midas touch so far in his short Lille career.
Romain Hamouma
Club: AS Saint-Etienne
Nationality: French
The 25-year-old midfielder signed for Christophe Galtier’s side this summer from Stade Malherbe de Caen for a fee believed to be in the region of 1.2 million euros. In his first Ligue 1 game for Les Verts, Hamouma scored a goal. However, the Frenchman’s
striker was not enough as ASSE eventually lost the game 2-1.
Last season, Saint-Etienne failed to secure a European berth, something that was disappointing considering the fact that the Rhone giants were actually flying very high for most part of the 2011/2012 campaign.
With the arrival of Hamouma, the club can be hopeful that the team gives itself a better chance of securing a place in European football, which has eluded them over the past few seasons.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073
Nationality: Argentine
Club: Paris Saint-Germain
The Argentine international signed for Paris Saint-Germain for a fee believed to be in the region of 30 million euros from Italian Serie A side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003. For months, PSG and English Premier League rich boys, Manchester City fought for the signature of a player
who can operate as a playmaker and as a winger.
The Argentine’s arrival at Parc des Princes has somewhat been overshadowed due to the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 but Lavezzi is the kind of player who will do his talking on the pitch.  With Ibrahimovic already showing what he can be
capable of, Lavezzi’s form will play a crucial role in deciding PSG’s fate by the end of the campaign.
Emanuel Herrera
Nationality: Argentine
Club: Montpellier Herault
The 25-year-old striker joined the reigning Ligue 1 champions from Union Espanola of the Chilean Primera Division. Montpellier paid the Chilean giants 3.5 million euros for the services of a striker who has scored goals for fun in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chile-c2871 and in Copa Libertadores.
With Olivier Giroud now gone to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, a lot will be expected from Herrera who has already opened his account for La Paillade.
