Stade Brestois and Evian TG had very different Ligue 1 campaigns last season but the two minnows of French football would be hoping for better things to come next season after making a few good signings this summer
The 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign will kick start on August 10 and bettor.com will present each day, two teams and the transfer campaign they have had this summer starting with Stade Brestois and Evian TG.
Stade Brestois
After a complicated end to last season, which was marked by the sacking of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Dupont and appointment of Corentin Martins as the interim boss, Stade Brestois will be looking to make a good start to the new campaign.
Les Ty' Zefs came really close to relegation last season and this summer, the Breton club has made no fewer than six signings.
While talking to media, the club’s sporting director, Bucquet http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-c25453 said, “We had plenty of players out of contract and we looked for players to replace them for free.”
As for departures, there was indeed a lot of movement with the likes of Elana and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonathan-Zebina-c19071 leaving the club.

Bernard Mendy
The former France international is back among the French elite after a four-year hiatus. The former right-winger/right-back of Paris Saint-Germain spent the last four years at Hull City (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749) and Odense (Denmark) and has now chosen to come to a small
club in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 which is certainly far from the splendour of Paris where he made such a name for himself all those years ago.
Now 30, Mendy has enough experience in his to help Stade Brestois make a solid start to the new campaign.
Evian TG
In their first season in Ligue 1, Evian TG gave a good account of themselves and can consider the last campaign as a successful one. Despite a coaching change half way through the season )Correa replaced Casoni), the Haute-Savoie-based club were able to
finish the 2011/2012 Ligue1 campaign in 9th place which is something, not many fans of the club imagined when the season started.
The arrival of players on loan last summer certainly helped the club a lot in managing to avoid the relegation dogfight. The likes of Wass, Poulsen and Kahlenberg were immense for Les Croix last season.
Wass came to Evian on a season-long loan from Benfica and after a promising campaign, has made a permanent switch to the Ligue 1 side for 2.5 million euros.
The club’s president, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-c29254 Trotignon knows that the club can’t spend lavishly in the transfer market. However, some shrewd business has been done in securing the services of the likes of Zouheir Dhouadi and Kone.
