Ligue 1 special: The arrival of Qataris will see a lot of player exits at Paris Saint-Germain
The arrival of the Qatari Investment Authority at French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain has definitely raised the morale and mood of the club’s fans.
The Qatari consortium now owns 70% of the club’s shares and has the financial muscle to take the Parisian club to the next level. With the club entering a new chapter in its history, expectations are high for the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 season.
The appointment of former AC Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 as the club’s sporting director has further given the club a great hope for good things in the future. Not a day passes by when the club is not linked with a move for a good player.
In the coming days, the club would definitely see the arrival of some new faces. Most of the transfers would be sanctioned by Leonardo who has already begun the task of bringing in the best talent in the market to the Parc des Princes.
However, the arrival of new players poses a question at the future of some of the players. Departures at the club will be seen following the arrivals and many current PSG players have already been linked with a move away from the club.
Bettor.com takes a look at players who might leave PSG this summer as the club looks to make room for new arrivals.
Jeremy Clement
the 26-year-old Frenchman has been at the club since 2007 and has made over 140 Ligue 1 appearances for Les Parisiens. However, it seems that the former Lyon midfielder’s time at the club is coming to an end.
Last season, Jeremy Clement was not able to command a regular starting spot largely due to the rapid rise of Clement Chantome. Eager to gain more playing time, the 26-year-old is definitely going to be on his way out of the club by the end of the transfer
window.
Reports suggest that the defensive midfielder is attracting a lot of interest from AS Saint-Etienne who might let go of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Blaise-Matuidi-c7681 in part of an exchange for Clement.

The 23-year-old central defender is one of the old guys of Les Parisiens and will surely be asked to find another club in the coming days if PSG manage to land a centre-back.
Reports suggest that Benfica captain Luisao could be joining the club in the coming days which would force http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Camara-c8277 to look for a club where he can command a starting place. Montpellier Herault are in the hunt of an experienced defender and could sign the
experienced defender.

The 31-year-old Brazilian right-back has already been deemed surplus to requirements and has been touted for a return to his native http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858.
Mevlut Erdinç
The 24-year-old Turkish international has many times stated of his desire to stay at the club. However, the former Sochaux man would be forced out of the club as soon as the club finds one striker.
The Saint-Claude born striker is attracting a lot of interest from Stade Rennais and Newcastle United and PSG will also be keen to offload Erdinç in order to make room for a new striker.
