The likes of Jordan Ayew, Remy Vercoutre and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charles-c8808 Kabore have literally taken to their new-found status at respective clubs and would be hoping that the trend continues for them
Football is a funny game. One day a player can be the main man of the team and the next day, his services might not be required. A football player never really has a lot of time to adapt to his new surrounding in this age which is the reason why many players
find it hard to blossom quickly.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Boubacar-Sanogo-c7921 is one of the best examples of this trend. The Ivorian was an eternal woe for AS Saint-Etienne last season and did not play a single game. However, after leaving the Forez, the 29-year-old joined 2. Bundesliga side Energie Cottbus where he
has scored five goals in just nine games and is now asking his former club to pay him at least 7 million euros for damages and to erase all that he went through during his time at the club.
Moving on, this season has seen quite a few players become integral parts of their respective outfits one way or the other. These players were not used that much last season but have seen their fortunes turned around due to various reasons.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Ayew-c19098
Club: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127
Age: 21
Position: Forward
Nationality: Ghanaian
Last season, Andre Ayew’s younger brother was unable to impress former coach Didier Deschamps. However, despite not being in great form, the 21-year-old did manage to make 34 appearances but scored just 3 goals in the league. He ended last season with just
7 goals from 45 appearances.
This season, despite complaining about lack of game-time, the impulsive Ghanaian has already bagged seven goals in 15 games which proves the fact that some players don’t really need a lot of time to get their name on the score sheet.
Remy Vercoutre
Club: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130
Age: 32
Position: Goalkeeper
Nationality: French
The former Montpellier Herault custodian spent the last few seasons at the Rhone club as deputy to first-choice keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Lloris-c16408. However, the French captain left Rhone and Saone for English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur where he is now more
or less playing second fiddle to evergreen http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brad-Friedel-c7953 who is not thinking about retiring any time soon.
However, Lloris’ departure did not force Remi Garde to look for a new keeper. Instead, the young French tactician chose to cast his lot to Remy Vercoutre who before this season started, had made just 15 games in all appearance for Les Gones since 2008/2009
season.
This season, Remy has already made eight appearances, two of which came in his team’s opening encounters of the Europa League group stages. Usually, keepers bloom late so the native of Grande-Synthe has a lot of time to make up for last time. And, it doesn’t
hurt that Vercoutre has proven to be quite a good replacement for Lloris.
Charles Kabore
Club: Olympique de Marseille
Age: 24
Position: midfielder
Nationality: Burkinabe/ French
Another Marseille player who has seen his status changed under new manager Elie Baup is Charles Kabore who never really impressed Didier Deschamps. Signed from Libourne in 2007, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Burkina-Faso-c2862 international was on the verge of becoming a forgotten man
under DD. Apart from making substitute appearances, Kabore was never considered an integral part of the squad.
After selling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 respectively in the summer, Baup chose to put his faith on Kabore rather than going in the market for a new defensive midfielder. And, the player has proven his worth for the
team and has started all eight games in the league and has even got an assist to his name.
Though still far from the finished product, Kabore is very much going to remain a big part of Elie Baup’s plans if he stay consistent and fit.
