  1. some of the instruments get repaired and put into exsisting planes. stuff like the radio and altimeter.

If you're asking if they put used parts in aircraft coming off the assembly line, then no.  If you're asking if used parts are used in EXISTING aircraft, then yes BUT:  The parts are supposed to be serviced by qualified technicians, tested and documented for use.  There is a black market for parts that are not certified, but for the most part, airlines can't afford to take that risk in countries with extensive inspection systems (Africa and parts of Asia are black market havens).  Hope that helps.

  3. Never.  Boeing (and Airbus) airplanes are delivered with 100% new parts to airlines.  Airlines can put in their own galleys, lavatories, and seats, though, but all have to be certified to the particular airplane's configuration.

  4. no..most planes are 100% new design  and on a assembly line parts must be all the same size and quality
