I was wondering if anyone knew of a card that ws like a credit card, but not. I don't want to get a visa/credit card because of the hassles. I wanted to know if there was a card or something that you could reload as soon as you had money. Anyone know of something like that?

  1. It sounds like you're describing a prepaid credit card.  But those are stacked to be expensive.  Often, there are fees, and the balance on them gradually decays, even if you're not buying anything.  Also, they nick you for a cash advance.

To avoid these fees, what you probably want is a debit card.  I'm presuming that you are not in a situation where you are unable to open a checking account for some reason (underage, not a citizen, etc.).  You just open the checking account, and get a Visa or Mastercard debit card attached to it.  You can withdraw cash from the bank's ATM at no charge, and there's no reloading for the card - it just accesses what's in your account.

  2. do you not have a bank account that issues visa debit cards? those come in handy and there are NO fees

  3. Yeah, you can get prepaid cards from Visa or Mastercard, that you can use as such. Or even a secured credit card, in which you put up a certain about of money to "borrow" against. It depends if you are wanting to build credit or not. The secured card will help build credit!

  4. Prepaid cards. It is almost like a credit card, you load money on the card and use it. http://bestcreditcardratings.com/prepaid...
