Cruise lines do not allow kids to go free but they do offer a reduced price for the third, fourth, and fifth guest in the same cabin.  So if you are going with 2 or 3 kids you can get a reduced rate for them that is generally in the range of half price, sometimes less.

You can see what a cruise would cost with kids on any cruise by simply  selecting the cruise that you want to do and start the reservation process and enter the number of kids in your cabin.  The rates for the 3,4, and 5th persons will be shown for each type cabin.  Then just cancel or quit the reservation.

The costs for children with their parents is minimal - but not free.

Remember that your tipping guidelines are the same for children as for adults.  The waiters, busboys, and cabin stewards have extra work with small kids along so tip them well.

I think I have read that Costa Cruises sometimes has "kids sail free" deals....

Kids get a reduced rate, but are never free.

Not even a new born is free.
