Like to know more about ironing....?

Hi, I just got a temp. job ironing bedding, curtains and stuff like that. I have a little knowledge on this, but I need to know how to deal with different fabrics such as silk. What are mandatory things I should know so I do this correctly? Any help or advice about ironing would be great...

cool iron for silks, test on an unseen part before ironing  Cotton , use the high temp, but be careful u do not scorch the fabrics, To day, most fabrics do not need ironing. Rayon and dacron will burn . When irons men's shirts iron the collar first then the sleeves and continue  On the inner facing on the button area, iron neatly so the button area do not pucker up, Ironing takes time and experience,  good luck.

Set your heat on the iron, to the type of fabric you are ironing...

look at the settings of the iron.  read the labels on the clothing.  use steam on cotton only...  starch on the inside only of cotton....
