Likelihood of a Thai Dependant to an American's Australian Student Visa?

I'm a US citizen married to a Thai under Thai law, she has never been outside Thailand or to the US. I will be studying at the graduate level in Australia, what are my wife's chances of getting a "Dependant visa" attached to my student visa? I have enough funds to support both of us and I have the marriage certificate, is that all they need or is it more rigorous than that?
