I was on the Pill for 5 years and I stopped it June 12. I had withdrawal bleeding a week later. I had s*x with my bf June 27, last friday. Im wondering how likely it is that I've started ovulating already and that I could be pregnant. I know it will probably be about 3 weeks before I can be sure but Im just wondering.

  1. Hi ;) I'm sorry to say that for some women it can take up to 6months after stopping the pill to ovulate. In my case, it took 18 months only to ovulate (and I was lucky enough to get pregnant on that very first ovulation).

In the case of a very fertile couple trying, there is up to 20% chances per month to get pregnant. This is why they warn ttc couples that it might take a year before they even get pregnant.

I'm very sorry for the bad news! But I sure hope your system gets rid of the pill faster then mine, and I'm sending you baby dust ;) I wish you the best of luck

  2. Stopping the pill sometimes kick starts ovulation but no one can tell you more than that.  Take a test.  I hope you want to be a single mother.

  3. He wouldn't be marrying you because of a possible baby.  He'd be marrying you because he loves you.  Why turn him down?

You probably aren't pregnant, so why turn him down because of 'the baby'?

If you aren't ready to get married, why are you risking making a baby?  You will be a single mother if you continue to reject the boyfriend's proposals and yet continue to have s*x.
