Likom Futura LDF770

Question

I recently received a LDF770 flat screen. after finally getting the refresh and resolution set in linix I reset my computer and after the bios screen I got a monitor out of range message and the screen went black. After a little fiddling I noticed that the monitor had reset to a really low default (65 i believe) instead of 78. The problem is I cant figure out how to change this back and how to prevent this from happening again. Any help would be appreciated.
