Lil Joy to celebrate victory in the William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes at Newcastle
Newcastle will host the Grade A3 William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes over 480 metres flat on Wednesday, 6th June. Contesting for the £111 prize money are Bohard Lad, Lil Diva, Fully Tuned, Ricos Teddy, Lil Joy and Vicarage Ace.
Leading the line-up with the best credentials is Lil Joy, Priceless Rebel’s two-year-old black daughter out of b***h, Geordie Classic. She started off the season with finishing third in a 480 metres race at Newcastle.
Her first success of the season was in the Grade A5 Williamhill.Com Stakes on 15th February over 480 metres. Lil Joy completed the trip in 30.05 seconds and led the runner up, Timmy Minty, by 5 ¾ lengths.
The 5/4 favourite of the race, Toxny, ended third.
Lil Joy then remained unsuccessful in the next seven races and then bagged the Grade A4 William Hill – The Home Of Betting on 18th April at Newcastle over 480 metres. She concluded the track distance in 29.46 seconds and took charge of the final ¾ of a length.
The 5/2 favourite runner up of the race, Bush Hill Lady, took 29.52 seconds to make it to the other end of the wire.
Her third seasonal success was in the Grade A4 William Hill – The Home Of Betting on 28th April at Newcastle over 480 metres. Lil Joy timed the track distance in 29.70 seconds and had the final three lengths under her charge.
Finishing the closest to the winner after racing for 29.94 seconds was the 9/4 favourite of the race, Blackhouse India.
Making it to the other end of the wire in 30.02 seconds was Cooladerry Wall.
The last two times that she raced have shown pretty consistent results as compared to what she had been doing before that.
Lil Joy qualified as the runner up in the Grade A4 Williamhill.Com Stakes on 23rd May at Newcastle over 480 metres. The race was won by the 9/4 favourite while Lil Joy took 29.83 seconds to settle the race.
Her last try was in the Grade A4 William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes on 2nd June at Newcastle over 480 metres. The 9/4 favourite had the race going for her in 29.70 seconds.
Today she has the chance to pair up wins through claiming the race tonight.
