Lil Lark aiming strong return in Newcastle’s William Hill - The Home of Betting
After displaying an embarrassing performance last time around, Lil Lark looks determined to make a strong comeback in the William Hill - The Home of Betting, a 480 metres flat heat, set to take place at Newcastle on Wednesday, March 07, 2012.
The £118 Grade A1 event is due to commence at 12:58 (GMT). Among the entries are: Lil Lark, Cashen Loca, Elwick Ragtag, All Apologies, Fabulous Bolero and Canny Caleb.
Lil Lark performed poorly on the last weekend, completing the order of finish in a similar race at Newcastle. Yet, the bookmakers did not change their views about her, as the b***h is holding the highest odds for today’s race.
Prior to her trouncing last weekend, she sealed a couple of back to back wins at the same venue. In her latest triumph, J. Fenwick's trainee overcame Nanis Rocket by 1¼ lengths.
The bookies have pinned up a lot of hopes on her and the b***h needs to win this in order to regain her pride.
Cashen Loca is being considered as a huge threat. The fawn b***h has not been doing anything special over the last few weeks, as she ended up fifth in her last race.
However, everyone remembers her classy victory in mid February, when the b***h sealed the top slot by ½ of a length. Expecting her to bounce back, the punters are likely to stake their money on her.
Another dangerous hound is Elwick Ragtag, who is coming into this battle after a convincing win. The white and black dog exhibited a fine show earlier this month, clinching first place by 2¾ lengths. Out of his last three outings, D. Spraggon’s trainee came
out as winner twice.
Having three ordinary performances to his credit, Canny Caleb’s chances are not bright. Likewise, All Apologies and Fabulous Bolero will have to work really hard in an attempt to do well.
Prediction
Despite doing nothing special in the last race, Lil Lark is in good position to do some damage today. It will be quite difficult for the rest to control her, but nobody can afford to be complacent.
