Lil Risky likely to be dominant in John Smith´s Peterborough Derby - 2nd Semi-final
Lil Risky is expected to dominate proceedings in the John Smith´s Peterborough Derby - 2nd Semi-final at Peterborough in England on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be given a cash prize of £175.
The 420 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 21:34 GMT and a total of six runners will be battling out for glory.
Although there are some decent runners roaring to do a good job at Peterborough, yet no one seems to be capable of beating Lil Risky, who is in extremely good shape right now. His performances in this class have been really good and he will be chasing a
hat-trick of victories today.
The M. Wallis’ trainee has been given a general starting price of 5 to 4 by the bookies, which shows that they expect him to be strong today. The punters will also be interested in placing a lot of bets on him, as he is a pretty obvious choice for them.
Out of his previous five outings in this class, the brindle hound has been successful in four of them. This goes onto show the kind of dominant form he is in at the moment. It will be extremely difficult for his opponents to match his class today.
In his most recent race, Lil Risky was rated as the outright favourite to win. There were some decent runners up against him, but he did not allow then any chance of coming closer in the end. He took the lead pretty early and then held onto it comfortably
by 2¼ lengths.
Ballymac Maeve’s son out of Risk The Town first appeared onto the scene in February 2011 and did a decent job in a few trial runs back then. His first Grade OR outing was at Romford and he was absolutely dominant in it, winning by two and a half lengths.
Since then, no one was able to stop him on most occasions, as he earned a lot of victories for his team. He finished the last season on a positive note and continued the trend this year as well. If things go right for him, he will definitely add another
victory to his tally.
