Lil Risky likely to dominate proceedings in the Stondon Dash
Lil Risky is likely to dominate proceedings in the Stondon Dash at Henlow in England on Thursday, March 15, 2012. The quickest greyhound will be awarded with a cash prize of £150.
A total of six entries have been confirmed for the 277 metres Grade OR flat race, which is scheduled to start at 19:54 GMT. The names of these runners are: Lil Risky, Air Force Solo, High Noon, Lughill Poppy, Guinness Pirate and Blackrose George.
The bookmakers will be pretty much confident that Lil Risky will win the race easily, as he is in spectacular form at the moment. He has been victorious in his previous three outings and it will not be easy for anyone else to stop him.
Although M. Wallis’ trainee has mostly been dominant in his career, he was given a tough time in his most recent race. He started off decently and gained a marginal lead right before the finish line. He managed to win by just a neck distance, but his team
will be expecting a dominant show today.
The punters will not be interested in betting against the victory of the favourite greyhound, as he is in sublime form. He has raced at different venues including Henlow, and his performances at this venue have been quite decent.
The white and brindle dog is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Risk The Town and was born in June 2009.
Air Force Solo, trained by R. Holloway, is also expected to do well in this grade. His last run at Henlow proved to be quite a good one, as he managed to win by a comfortable margin of four lengths. If he continues with the same momentum, he will definitely
be able to cause a few problems for the race favourite.
The black dog is a very good starter and that will help him in today’s short distance race. However, he will have to be at his best in order to finish on top, as a little mistake can prove to be quite costly.
Air Force Solo is the son of Top Honcho out of Nifty Princess and was born in September 2008.
Other than the top two favourites, High Noon and Lughill Poppy might also manage to challenge for race victory whereas the rest of the runners do not really have any chances of winning.
