Lil Risky to swing back in from for the Coral Supports Macmillan Cancer Trophy at Hove
Hove will stage the Coral Supports Macmillan Cancer Trophy over 285 metres flat on Tuesday, 12th June. The event has set a prize money of £750 for the winner which will be contested by Me Buddy, Lil Risky, Sleeping Urban, Farloe Ashes, Guinness
Smokie and Swabys Tony.
One of the most convincing entries for the race is Lil Risky, Ballymac Maeve’s three-year-old white and brindle son out of b***h, Risk The Town. He rolled into the season with a victory in a 233 metres race at Hall Green on 6th January. He timed
the track distance in 14.35 seconds and led by 2 ¼ lengths.
From 24th February to 15th March, he extended his winning streak to four races and initially got deprived of a hat trick on 14th January.
On 26th March he won the Coral On TV Standard Trophy – Heat 1 at Romford over 400 metres. The 10/11 favourite won the race in 23.95 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Savana Ted, by 7 ¾ lengths.
The runner up was through in 24.57 seconds and was soon followed by Strawpedo Joe.
The three-year-old then claimed the Millennium Stand Bookmakers Golden Sprint – Heat 3 on 6th April at Romford over 400 metres. The 10/11 favourite winner made it to the other end of the wire in 24.08 seconds. He led the runner up of the race,
Yahoo Ned, by three lengths.
Coming at terms with the third position was Daughter Of Peg.
Mark Wallis’ under charge then claimed the West Ilsley Stables Punt On A Pup Stakes on 3rd May at Hove over 285 metres. The winner completed the trip in 16.31 seconds and led by just half a length. Finishing the closest was Swabys Tony who was
soon joined by Sleeping Urban.
His till yet last win of the current season was in the Tom Fruit Sprint on 20th May at Coventry over 263 metres. The 4/9 favourite had the race going for him in 15.92 seconds with 1 ¼ lengths under his belt.
He ended fifth and then second in the last two races and has all the chances of dominating the race tonight.
